Reading task week 8!

Kia Ora and welcome to my reading task blog week 8!

Week 8 I went to a reading workshop goal which was (Identify several ideas, discuss the author's stance or purpose, and understand relationships in the text) We read through a quick story about Richie Patterson a New Zealand Olympic weight lifter. The story had quick facts about him, his life and career highlights and it was very interesting stuff about him, so once we read that we had to create on goggle drawing and 4 several key ideas  from the text and pick a cause relationship (connection) and state why its important to the text. Here is the task I did. (I am not quite finished the task yet)

Maths blog

Hello and welcome to my blog for week 8.

This week I will be talking about maths and what is a tidy numbers?
For maths I went to a workshop which the goal was "use a broad range of strategist to solve addition and subtraction problems with whole numbers and decimals (tidy numbers)" we learnt how to solve big problems to make it a tidy number such as 433+452= and we would figure out what the answer was by using a tidy number, if you didn't know what a tidy umber it is a even number. The teacher gave us a task we had to do which was a example of a diamond template.

This week I have been learning a maths goal which is "use a brand range of strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems with whole numbers and decimals" we have learnt problems like 445-398 and some decimals, we were talking about the 3 secrets in maths which was mentally fit, strategies and know what you know. For my create task I had to do some maths equations and turn it to a maths problems. Here it is:

Today I will be talking about my reading and what I did I had be given to do. 

For this week reading goal workshop was identify some text events and features, and discuss what they make the reader think about. The teacher told us to pick a stories and skip through it and see what stories you would like to read and talk about, once I had picked a story I read it and then teacher gave a task we had to do on a digital learning and share your understanding of the text events and features. I did mine on google slide and here is the link below:

Today I will be talking about writing. For my goal for writing was "deliberately choose a clear, controlled and logical text structure to suit the audience and purpose". My create task was having to chose one of the year 1 to 8 hubs and to make a template about one of the hubs and I chose to do the year 1/2. Creativity task

Hello welcome back to my blog post.
Today for this bog post I will be talking about creativity. If you have seen my last blog I published not long ago I did a blog post about collaboration and what it is,  this blog will be talking about creativity. We had been giving task to do and to watch 2 videos about how to be a creative person. Once I watched the two videos I had to create a 100 uses for a paper clip, I did the task in a group and we had to list 40, here is one of task I did (we have not finish)

Collaboration

Hello, everyone welcome to my blog post.

For PBL this term we have been working on our school fair as you may know, We have had to make a project in our groups, on this reflection I will be talking about one of the 6 c which is collaboration we had to share skills and what we have been talking about what it is, here is some ideas:

work highly effectively and interdependently, identifying and using each other's strengths and skills - I think I have done this idea by giving people ideas in my PBL group and using strengths and skills.

have a good understanding of different points of view, express their viewpoints and empathize, listen and learn from others - I think I have done this because I have let people have there ideas and point of view on why.

make important decisions that take into consideration different perspectives and the mutual benefit of the group - I maybe haven't done this one so much of this one but I can improve on working on it by making important decisions
