Maths blog post term 2 week 3!

Hello.

This weeks blog post as you can tell from the title is about maths. This maths will be talking about using a bored rage of strangers when trying to figure out a subtraction or addition. So this week we used multiple strategy to answer questions. I found it quite challenging because when we learnt our first strategy we had to move on to the next but it was very fun to learn. Then we had to create a poster or anything about using more than 1 strategy so here is mine.

Here is my poster I created

What kind of strategy do you use when trying to solve big questions?

Writing task week 3!

Kia Ora welcome to another writing blog post.

Here is another week of my blog post. I will be talking about my writing and working on spelling rules. For example adding suffixes to words ending in y, doubling the final consonant or adding ed and ing, silent e and adding ing, plurals or irregular plurals. We had to pick what video we wanted to watch. I chose silent e and adding ing. We had to create a task of a DLO (digital learning) . Here is mine and what I learnt. I hope you can learn from it too.

What did you do for writing?

Reading task about the war!

Hi welcome to another reading blog post!

This blog post this time will be about the War. This week we had to read an artical about either Harry's way, New Zealand at war, lest we forget or under ground soldiers. I chose to read lest we forget, when I was reading half of it I was really interested and I learnt lots of stuff that I didn't know in the artical. When we read the book we then had to make a flip grid and answer these questions "important idea in your chosen text" I made a 30 second video and then moved on to the create task which was make a comic strip, screencastify or use a why and what  template, so I chose do to a why and what template. Here I will show you what it looked like and what I did.

Maths blog post

Kia Ora and welcome to my blog.

This weeks blog post will be talking about my maths I have been doing. For this week I had to create a advertisement and include how its used, why you would use it and when it will be helpful. We either created it as a poster, comic, podcast or any others. We also had to use 3 questions from my last workshop and I had to explain how I got the answer. I did a poster and here is what I have done so far.

Have you done equal adjustments before?

Exciting writing changes.

Hi welcome to my writing blog post. I hope your all doing well in isolation.

This weeks blog post is me talking about my writing blog I had to do. So if you look back at my few weeks blog post I have talked a little about my NZ writing report I had to write about. So for this writing task I had to make some changes on my report my using a rubric and making a DLO (digital learning object) for example like a goggle slide. So when I made my goggle slide and I had to look through the rubric and copy and paste a part where I thought I hadn't had had that in my report. If you need to look at what I mean I will put a link down below so you can have a look at what I have done.

My reading Inforgraphic

Hello and welcome to my reading inforgraphic blog.

For reading this week I had to make a inforgraphic. If you didn't know what a inforgraphic was it is  a type of information about the source of text you are reading and putting images relating to either the text. So the text for the inforgraphic I had to do was a artical about fake facts and was talking about fake information and what is fake. It was a very interesting artical to read. When I did my inforgraphic I put in lots of information about what I knew to put in from the artical and I also put in images that were relating to the text. Here Is what I had done:

Have you ever done a inforgraphic before?

beatitudes blog

Kia Ora and welcome to my term 2 week 2 blog post.

This blog post I will be talking about my RE task Beatitudes I had done. So this week I had to read to articles about beatitudes and then watch a video that was about being kind and always looking out for others not just yourself. We then got given a task we either had to make a quiz do a google slide or google drawing or more so I chose to do a quiz. My 3 questions I  put in the quiz was
  • What are the Beatitudes
  • What are the eight beatitudes?
  • How do the Beatitudes relate to our daily lives?

Here in the link if you would like to try the quiz out

Reading task in isolation.

Hello and welcome back to my first is location blog in 2020!

Since I am in isolation my School is doing online School work which is doing work on our laptops and also goggle meeting the teachers. So for reading I did "making connections to text" for my goal. What we had to do for that goal was to read 2 books online and I chose to read treaty of Waitangi and the 2nd book as bright fine gold. Once I read both of the books we then had given a create task to do which we had to write in the boxes my thinking of the books and making connections between at least two texts and own life experiences and more. So I am going to screenshot some of my ideas I filled out but I haven't quite finished it yet:

How have you been going through the isolation?
Have you ever read any of these books before?

Writing task in isolation 📜

Hi and welcome to another blog of writing. I hope you are all doing well in isolation from covid 19.

This week I will be showing you my writing task I created, the goal for this writing was "use langues that is appropriate to the topic and purpose" so couple of weeks ago my hub had to write a report who was from New Zealand who inspired you and so I chose Jacinda Arden, then this week we had to go back to our report and copy and past a paragraph or 2 on to a separate doc and highlight 3 ways I have used appropriate langues in our report and then we had to use the comments feature to Palestinian why I included that in my report and why it is important. So here is what I did:

Reading task week 8!

Kia Ora and welcome to my reading task blog week 8!

Week 8 I went to a reading workshop goal which was (Identify several ideas, discuss the author's stance or purpose, and understand relationships in the text) We read through a quick story about Richie Patterson a New Zealand Olympic weight lifter. The story had quick facts about him, his life and career highlights and it was very interesting stuff about him, so once we read that we had to create on goggle drawing and 4 several key ideas  from the text and pick a cause relationship (connection) and state why its important to the text. Here is the task I did. (I am not quite finished the task yet)

Do you like reading stories/facts but Olympic people?

Maths blog

Hello and welcome to my blog for week 8.

This week I will be talking about maths and what is a tidy numbers?
For maths I went to a workshop which the goal was "use a broad range of strategist to solve addition and subtraction problems with whole numbers and decimals (tidy numbers)" we learnt how to solve big problems to make it a tidy number such as 433+452= and we would figure out what the answer was by using a tidy number, if you didn't know what a tidy umber it is a even number. The teacher gave us a task we had to do which was a example of a diamond template.
here is what I have done:

Have you ever learnt a tidy number before?
