Reading task

Hello welcome to my blog post.

This week for reading my goal was "can visualize using all of the scenes, and talk about how this enriches meaning" we had to do a reading task that we had to visualize a word and the author was talking about and we got images of what we visualize we either got some images from the internet or we made the drawing from google drawings, here is the task that I had to do.
I really enjoyed this reading task I had to do.
Have you ever done this kind of thing before?

Top team ⛲

Hello welcome back to my blog post!

I will be talking to you about top team, top team is ran by Canterbury sports and they came to our School and do challenges. The year 5 to 8 did it and how it worked was the teachers put us in groups and the groups had to collect the most point's. Some of the challenges including:

Stacking blocks as high as you could without it falling

Get water to one side to the other

Making a pipe no leak with water using only your fingers

And lost more. My favorite challenge would have to be the water activities because it was a very hot day and it was lots of fun getting wet. I hope to to this next year.

Thanks for reading my blog post.

Has top team came to your school before.

Tough kids

Hello,
On the 20th of November the year 3 to year 8's competed at tough kids. Tough kids is like a mud run and is a event that kids from different Schools take part in, the activities that were taken part are like jumping over things, going under things and getting wet and much more. It was really fun day and hope to do it again some other year.

Has your school ever done tough kids before?

Attitude Presentation

Hello,
Last week we had an Attitude team people come in to our school to talk about puberty. It was very weird when they came in and talked to us. There were 2 people that came in and there names were Emma and Rory. On the first day the year 7/8 all came together and Rory was talking about it and then on the 2nd day the boys and girls got split up and this time Emma came in and talked about relationships and how we change and that, It was really weird but pretty funny but overall it was really fun and interesting to listen about.

How would you feel if someone came to your school and talked about it?

Question of the day: Did you know that the first part of your body that grow is your feet!

Camp!

Welcome to term 4 today I will be talking about camp.

On Tuesday my year 7/8 school went on camp to Wainui YMCA camp we were staying there for 3 nights. We went on a bus and it took 1 hour and a half to bus there and then we had to stop halfway and had to walk for 3 hours up there. We had to go up hill and down hills and some hills were really steep. It was very muddy and all of our shoes were getting wet and muddy but it was a good exercise.

When we finally got there we sat down and our teachers told us our instructions on what we were doing. Once we found out the instructions we went into our bunk rooms and I was in cabin 3 with some of my friends and some other people like Ella,Neila,Harriet,Hannah,Joanna,Roza and Becky. We unpacked our bags and got our camp room ready and our teachers sometimes had to do a room inspections so our camp buck rooms were tidy and my camp rooms passed.

Next we had to come in the living rooms and sit down and we soon went straight into our activates for the day we did 2 activities every 4 nights and that activities were

kayaking
coasteering
orienteering
search and rescue
high ropes
outdoor leaving
archery
breakout
raft building

They were all really fun to do. After we all did our 2 activates in our groups we had a camp firer and that was really fun to we got to roast marshmallow  and our instructors where singing and doing stuff silly and that was funny. It was a really fun night for the first night. The couple of next nights we had to write a reflections our books we brought from school and write half a page here is what I wrote:
What I learnt at camp was learning the activates and something That I found challenging was going to sleep and not talking also some actives were challenging. What I liked was when we were in our actives groups I got to know people that I wasn't close with. I am grateful for the teachers who put this camp together and organized it all. And with the parents who cam and helping out. What my favorite thing at camp was going in the water and having fun my also favorite thing was everything  else.
Camp was really fun and I enjoyed it lots and hope to do it again sometime.

Thanks for ready my long blog.
Have you ever been on camp before with your school?
